Upcoming events
Iki Zen ry organizes weekly zazen, introductions and zazenkai at the Meditation Cellar in Kruununhaka, Helsinki, as well as other events at the Jollas Eco Atelier. We also hold retreats and sesshins e.g. at Lammi Retreat Center.
We are currently looking for new premises for our own meditation center. Our previous center, Ikian Zen Hermitage, was located in Kalkkiranta, Sipoo.

IKI ZEN CALENDAR OF EVENTS 2026
We organize zazen at Meditation Cellar on Sundays from 10 am to 12 pm and -starting from September- also on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 8 pm. For new visitors: introduction to Zen practice will be organized on July 25th and August 29th. From September onwards, there will be introductions the last Wednesday of every month. More events below.
JUL 25th INTRODUCTION TO ZEN PRACTICE AT MEDITATION CELLAR, GUIDED BY GENPO SENSEI

SEPT 26th MOON VIEWING PARTY AT ECO-ATELIER 6-9 PM
The moon-gazing party is a Japanese autumnal tradition where people admire the full moon. We will be organizing a moon-gazing party at Jollas' Eco Atelier. The stage is free for small-scale performances: you can e.g. play music, dance, recite poems... it is up to you. Tea and mooncakes will be served. You can also bring other food and beverage if you wish.
